FAQs

Who are you?

Hi, I am Sara Mae! As a creator, I have been honing my painting and drawing skills since I first picked up a crayon. My artistic journey has spanned from bedroom wall murals to simplified stained glass pet portraits, with skin quickly becoming my favorite canvas. My professional commitment is to deliver joy, smiles, and a delightful artistic experience. I strive to better my body painting skills and continue providing delightful party flourishes and details.

Fun Fact: My logo features my muse and hairless cat, Frida Meowlo.

Do you offer tattoo work?

I do not, as it does not align with my values.

“Everything is impermanent, even war. It will end some day. Knowing this, we continue to work for peace.”

How long does face paint last?

Face paints are water activated and last until reactivated with sweat or skin oils. Face paints last only a few hours, unless the skin starts to sweat. Paintings on arms, hands, and legs last longer.

Why is face painting so expensive?

My time, my energy, my experience, my talents, my paints, my brushes, my stencils, my staging, and my travel. Face painting artists charge approximately $125-350 an hour in the market today.

What kind of airbrushing can you do?

I use Iwata airbrushes and compressors (best in market), ProAiir hybrid alcohol-based paints and negative and positive tattoo stencils. I can airbrush tattoo sleeves and single tattoos.

How long does airbrush paint last?

Airbrush paints are alcohol activated and last 6-12 hours depending on alcohol consumption or exposure to water and oil.

Why can’t you paint my one hour event?

Depending on how elaborate the design is, my average paint time is 10-15 children an hour if continuously painting.

How many balloons can you tie in an hour?

Depending on the twisting, humidity, and type of balloon, approximately 20-50 balloons if continuously twisting. Please consider hiring Max for REAL balloon mastery.
